Dear FD Sailors,
Spartacus Sailing Club is looking forward to welcoming you at the World Championship in Balatonföldvár next May. Some of you are already familiar with the venue from previous World Championships. The dedicated personnel of the Organising Comitte along with helpful Club members are doing their best to prepare a great event for our special FD friends.
Balatonföldvár is located on the South side of Lake Balaton. The holiday resort can easily be reached by the M7 highway. Budapest and the Liszt Ferenc International airport is cca 1 hr 30 min drive.
The various accommodation possibilities include several hotels next to the harbour, private rooms, holiday houses in 15-25 min walking distance. Campers will
also find suitable places close to the Club.
There are many attractions for families around Balatonföldvár. Zamárdi Adventure Park offers great fun and active recreation, while Igal Health Spa is a
perfect place to relax and enjoy their wellness services. It is a nice trip to take a ferry for visiting Tihany, the historic abbey has stunning views over the lake. We strongly advise to taste
the local South-Balaton vines and gastronomy in one of the nearby vineyards.
